Onchan Library launch new audio book service

by isleofman.com 11th December 2012

Are You Sitting Comfortably?

Then you can begin listening to Onchan Library’s new audio book service from OneClickdigital. There’s almost 1,000 books for to choose from, and as they’re all unabridged, that’s hours and hours of happy listening. The collection has something for everyone, from Booker Prize Winner Hilary Mantel’s ‘Bring Up The Bodies’ to the ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’. Titles are always available, so there’s never any waiting lists.

These audio books can be downloaded 24/7 from the comfort of your own armchair at home, or via the library’s wi-fi hotspot.  You can:

• Download and listen on your PC or Laptop
• Download and transfer to portable devices such as MP3 Players
• Use  OneClick  apps to download direct and listen on your MAC, iPod, iPad, Phone or Kindle Fire

Help is available from the library web site to get started, and the library recommends using the apps where you can. Anyone needing more support, or without a computer or Internet connection at home, can contact Onchan Library to make arrangements for help from their Computer Tuition Volunteer.

All you need to use the service is a library membership card, and follow the Audio Books Link from the library web site: www.library.onchan.org.im  It’s absolutely FREE for Onchan residents, which is a brilliant Christmas present the library hopes you will enjoy throughout the coming year.
