Police appeal after statue damaged in Douglas

Police in the Central Neighbourhood Policing Team are asking members of the public to assist in identifying those responsible for damage caused to a bronze statue which is located in the Rose Garden, Clifton Terrace, Douglas. The damage occurred between the evening of Friday the 7th of December 2012, and Monday the 10th of December 2012, and involved the 4 foot tall statue being snapped off its plinth at its ankles.
 
Constable Penman is looking to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or knows the identities of anyone involved. Anyone who has any information is asked to contact Constable Penman at Lord Street police station or speak to any police officer.
 
Anyone who has information about this incident should contact Police Headquarters on 631212. A reward may be payable as a result of your information.
