Teenager charged in connection with Loch Prom attack

A 17-year-old boy from Douglas has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm following an incident on Loch Promenade in the early hours of yesterday morning.

A 33-year-old Peel man suffered serious head injuries in the attack, which happened near the prom's junction with Walpole Avenue at around 3am.

He was transferred to Walton Neurological Hospital in Liverpool yesterday afternoon.

Inspector Phil Shimmin is appealing for the occupants of a dark-coloured car which left the area of Bordello nightclub around the time the alleged assault happened to come forward.
