DCCL hopeful over driver numbers

The Department of Community, Culture and Leisure is hopeful enough drivers can be sourced to cover next week's scheduled bus strike.

Bus Vannin staff who normally undertake management duties, but are qualified to drive buses, have been asked to step in, with many agreeing to, according to DCCL Chief Executive Nick Black.

He says the department is also asking anyone who has the appropriate licence, the PPV, to come forward:
