A shopping website is donating 10 per cent of its profits to help fund The Children’s Centre. www.freebug.co.uk is a Manx registered business set up by David Brown and Daniel Scott and the website allows customers to purchase from their favourite online retailers with the added bonus of being in with a chance to win their money back on purchases.
David, who has lived on the Island for the past 18 months, said he and his co-director Daniel were delighted to be able to support The Children’s Centre. David said:
“My son is four-years-old and started school in the Isle of Man this year, so it’s nice to think that some of the money we make on the will go towards supporting children and families across the Island.”
To celebrate the partnership with www.freebug.co.uk, The Children’s Centre’s Fundraising Manager Michelle O’Malley presented the first prize won by one of the website’s customers. Jeremy Squires won the cost of an electric blanket he bought from Debenhams via the Freebug website. Michelle commented:
“We’re extremely grateful to David and Daniel for the generous support they have offered. www.freebug.co.uk is a great idea and we hope that lots of people will use it for their shopping because they know that they will be supporting The Children’s Centre in the process.”
