Police appeal after damage to boardwalk at Smeale

by isleofman.com 21st December 2012

Between Sunday 9th and Monday 10th December 2012 damage has been caused to the boardwalk at the end of the Concrete Rd in the vicinity of Smeale and Rue Point, Bride.  It would appear that a vehicle or vehicles have negotiated the wooden boardwalks causing considerable damage in various areas along the boardwalk.

PC 12 Giles from Ramsey Police Station would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the damage being caused, probably by persons driving 4x4 vehicles.  This can only be described as mindless vandalism which puts walkers at risk of injury whilst negotiating the area concerned.

The photo gives some idea of the extent of the damage and any information would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone who has information about this incident should contact PC 12 Giles on 812234 or Police Headquarters on 631212. A reward may be payable as a result of your information.

You may also contact Isle of Man Crimestoppers on 0800 555111. Crimestoppers is an independent Manx charity established to enable callers to pass information regarding criminal activity anonymously. Crimestoppers is not an agency of the Police. Crimestoppers will never ask callers for any personal details.
