Funding for sport essential for success

Retiring Isle of Man Sport Chairman Geoff Karran fears current financial problems for the Isle of Man could hit funding for sport.

He says part of the success story over the past decade is directly linked to money contributed by Government and the private sector.

It helps athletes go away to compete and raise their standards.

Geoff Karran hopes all parties involved pull togther as the publicity gained for the island by sporting achievement is invaluable:-
