The Annual Commemorative Service to honour the memory of Sir William Hillary, the founder of the RNLI, will be held on Sunday 6 January 2013 at St George’s Church, Douglas, at 3.00pm.
Attending the service on behalf of the RNLI will be Michael Vlasto OBE, FRIN, FNI, RNLI Director of Operations, who will lay a wreath on the tomb of Sir William & Lady Hillary in St George’s Churchyard after the service.
The Crew and Committee of the Douglas Station extend an invitation to all supporters of the RNLI lifeboat service to be with them on this occasion, and afterwards in the South Douglas Old Friends Association premises in Finch Road where light refreshments will be served.
