Invaluable meeting with UK Chancellor

Eddie Teare has met up with George Osborne during a trip to Tokyo in November.

The Isle of Man agreed just before Christmas to sign up to a UK version of the United States FATCA tax exchange regulations. The Channel Islands have held back, saying they want such an agreement to be global.

Mr Teare says meeting with Mr Osborne gave him the chance to understand the rationale behind the recent tax exchange agreement with the UK and see exactly what they wanted
