Island set to see wettest year on record

2012 looks set to be a record breaking year in terms of rainfall.

That's according to Colin Gartshaw at the Met Office who says there is more rain to come before the turn of the new year.

The rain has caused several periods of flooding over the past twelve months, particularly in September, October and earlier this month.

Mr Gartshaw says seven more millimeters of rain would break Island's annual record:
