New all island flat gas tariff from Jan 1st.

The new charge ends the long-running disparity in gas prices around the Island, between natural gas users and those on LPG and towns gas. Many have been converted in the last few months in the natural gas conversion project.

It will represent an average price rise of ?24 per year for existing natural gas customers.
Managing Director of Manx Gas, Tony Nicholls( pictured) , says the rise has been sanctioned by Treasury officials, who are content that it is fairer all round:
