Albany Lawn Tennis Club News

by isleofman.com 4th January 2013

A reminder to all juniors that coaching re-starts as from Monday 7th January 2013. Usual squads times Mini Tennis Club on Tuesdays. Any queries please contact Club Coach Ian Watson 496293 or at the club 627720.

Yes it’s another new year to make resolutions to train harder, practice longer, play more competitions and support all club and IOMLTA events. This year we will provide every member with the year’s calendar which will help you to plan holidays and other events.

This year I’m hoping everyone will make an effort to raise the funds to have the indoor court insulated – which should cure the condensation which is “a pain”. Anyone willing to organise an event should contact me to book the room. If you don’t have time to plan a fund raiser then we are happy to accept donations however small. Let us try to make this the last winter where we have this problem – I’m keen if you are!

Members are reminded that if they are the last to leave the club will they please make sure the side gates are locked.

Don’t forget to put the Annual Quiz Night in your diary Friday February 1st – 7pm.  Fish & chip supper at half-time which is always piping hot and very tasty. I’m told by the organisers, last year’s winners, that this will be a real test of your knowledge and as Alastair Montgomery is the “ring leader” I’m sure it will be. All proceeds are for the Indoor Court Development Fund.

The Committee wish all members a very Healthy, Happy and Successful 2013 both on and off court.
