No ring fencing in force

The police are not ring-fenced from public sector cuts.

That's according to the Minister for Home Affairs, Juan Watterson, who says new Chief Constable Gary Roberts faces some challenging times ahead.

The Minister is confident the new Chief Constable will rise to the challenge.

Mr Watterson says police job cuts can't be ruled out in the coming years:
