by isleofman.com 7th January 2013
‘Antiques Road Trip’ featuring the Isle of Man will be screened this afternoon, Monday 7th January, at 4.30pm on BBC1.  The Island is featured in the first episode of the series where two well-known antiques expert personalities, Thomas Plant and Philip Serrell, embark on their 700 mile trip across Britain.

They start on their journey with ?200, buying antiques in order to sell in an auction at the end of each episode and ultimately their aim is to make the biggest profit by the end of the week.  In each episode both experts are sent to visit a place of interest within the area.

The production crew visited the Island in July 2012 and were assisted by the Department of Economic Development.

Definitely not one to be missed!
