Be wary of green way saboteurs, say police

Police are warning people to be vigilant on the Island’s green ways after blocks of wood with nails in were found planted on one route in the west.

The spikes were discovered on a greenway running from the Switchback Road at Lhergydoo and the Staarvey Road.

It’s the latest in a string of incidents on that particular green lane.

PC Ian Scott of the Western Neighbourhood Policing Team says those responsible don’t seem to be targeting other areas, but people should be careful:
