Police force entry at domestic incident

by isleofman.com 9th January 2013

Police were called to a domestic disturbance in Anagh Coar late last night, where one of those involved had barricaded themselves inside the house.

When officers arrived the individual started making threats towards them.

They had to use force and defence tactics to get in and detain the person responsible.

Police are insisting no one was actually hurt during the incident.

They are investigating criminal offences in relation to it.

Sergeant Michelle McKillop from Douglas police says she's mindful the investigation is ongoing, so information has to be withheld from the public for legal reasons.

She adds, however, that if anyone has any concerns or information, particularly neighbours, they should contact their Ward Officers, Pc Steve Lapsley or Pc Damon Carberry, or police headquarters on 631212.
