Police appeal after disturbance in Anagh Coar

by isleofman.com 9th January 2013

Police were called to an address in Anagh Coar in the late hours of Tuesday 8th January to a report of a domestic disturbance. When police arrived one of the people involved had barricaded themselves inside the premises and was making threats towards the police officers.

Police had to use force and police defence tactics to enter the premises and detain the person responsible. Police are keen to reassure the public, in particular the neighbours who may have witnessed some or most of the incident, that no one was actually hurt during the incident and police are investigating criminal offences in relation to it.

Sergeant Michelle McKillop from Douglas police says, “I mindful that the investigation is on going and therefore information has to be with held from the public for legal reasons however, if any member of the public, particularly those who may live in the area, have any concerns or information they should contact their Ward Officers either PC Steve Lapsley or PC Damon Carberry, alternatively contact police on the usual number 631212.”
