13th anniversary of Solway Harvester tragedy

by isleofman.com 11th January 2013

Today (Friday) is the 13th anniversary of the Solway Harvester tragedy in Manx waters.

The scallop dredger sank off the Island's coast in January 2000 with the loss of all seven crew.

After protracted legal proceedings delayed matters, it's understood the vessel - long sited in Douglas Harbour - will be broken up and disposed of later this year.
