Having reminded you about the Annual Quiz Night in last week’s news, I’m afraid that, due to unforeseen circumstances, the date has had to be changed. The challenge for your brain will now be held on Friday 8 February.
We managed to complete the Club Championships Men’s U27 last weekend, with Marc Chinn winning 6/0 6/1 against Adam Pyatt-Coppell. Unfortunately the ladies event had to be cancelled as they were all playing in the Island Games play-off matches. Pity as the club championships is a Grade 4 event.
Members should note that the club lounge is available to hire for meetings, parties etc. Junior Birthday parties were quite successful last year with club coach, Ian Watson taking an hour’s mini tennis session on the indoor court followed by tea. Contact me 861497 or e-mail ballabreck@manx.net.
All junior coaching has started this week with the Saturday Mini Tennis sessions at 12noon for 1hour, followed by other Mini tennis from 1pm – 4pm and Sunday sessions 2pm – 4pm being the last to re-commence.
