Hockey big guns flex their muscles

The top two in the Wi Manx Men’s Premier League warmed up for next week’s big clash with convincing wins on Saturday.

Reigning champions Bacchas A saw off Valkyrs B 7-0, led by four goal Jamie Brown and a goal from 13 year-old debutant Tom Evans.

Meanwhile, a Gareth Morris hat-trick fired Valkyrs A to a 5-1 victory over Castletown A.

Ramsey A secured the result of the day with a 2-1 success over Bacchas B, while Vikings A defeated their B team 2-0.

It was a similar story in the Wi Manx Women’s Premier League as champions Vikings A made it two wins out of two by thrashing Valkyrs B, while Bacchas A saw off Ramsey A 5-2.

There were also victories for Castletown A and Valkyrs A.
