by isleofman.com 15th January 2013

It remains to be seen what will happen to the Island's HMV branch in the Strand shopping centre, after the struggling entertainment retailer called in the administrators.

HMV runs 240 stores and nine Fopp outlets across the British Isles, employing some 4,500 people.

The Island's shop has generally been seen as one of the most successful per head of capita.
