IoM Archery Club Report

by isleofman.com 15th January 2013
The IoM Archery Club met on Sunday to shoot for the last time before a large contingent go to Wigan for the Orrell Competition. It was a handicap round and as such allowed all archers to compete on equal terms. Club members shot either a Fita 18 or a Portsmouth round.

Karen Lott, Dave Dougherty and Kerry Boland shot personal best scores before they were adjusted by handicap, with Dougherty taking the overall win. The highest unadjusted score for the day was again recorded by Sarah Rigby.

Juniors Bradley Layton, Charlotte Harris and Adam Wright had mixed fortunes. Layton continued his run of good form, shooting just below his personal best. Charlotte Harris looked to be rusty after ill health and other commitments had robbed her of practise. Adam Wright struggled to find his rhythm but improved in the middle section of the shoot.
