by isleofman.com 15th January 2013

The first ever opera performance streamed to the Island by satellite is taking place tonight (Tuesday).

The Studio Theatre at Ballakermeen High School will host a showing of La Boheme from the Royal Opera House, featuring international opera stars under the baton of widely acclaimed British conductor Sir Mark Elder.

It’s supported by the Arts Council.

Former member Ernie Thorn hopes it will attract both opera lovers and a new legion of fans.
