Tynwald backs armed forces covenant

An armed forces covenant for the Isle of Man has been officially endorsed by Tynwald.

Politicians unanimously agreed to welcome the document, which promises a duty of care to the armed forces on a formal legal footing.

Home Affairs Minister Juan Watterson says the pledge to look after military personnel past and present will not come at a cost to the taxpayer:
