Unite head says strike is justified

The head of Unite the Union in the Island is defending the actions of bus drivers as they prepare to stage a half-day strike.

Drivers are taking industrial action between 1pm and 6pm, in the long-running dispute over government cost-saving measures.

Eric Holmes insists today’s stoppage is completely justified and directed his anger at Director of Public Transport Ian Longworth:
