Bus strike begins

by isleofman.com 17th January 2013

The Island's bus drivers are on strike until 6pm.

A skeleton bus service is being operated, which is complemented by the steam railway and Manx Electric Railway.

School services are set to be prioritised this afternoon, around 'home time'.

It appears Bus Vannin's contingency plans have begun relatively smoothly, as David Harrison reported from the bus stands on Lord Street earlier: (play audio)

Full details of the timetables being operated during the strike can be found at cf.gov.im or via Manx Radio's Facebook page.
