by isleofman.com 18th January 2013

Citywing has welcomed in the New Year with a busy and successful first two weeks.  Passenger figures have been high following the Christmas holidays and, with new developments under discussion, the company looks set to be busy throughout 2013.

Citywing Aviation Services Limited – ‘Citywing’ - is based in the Isle of Man and staffed by Isle of Man employees, with Island resident owners and directors. The changeover after Christmas saw all existing bookings with Manx2.com automatically and seamlessly transferred to the new company,

Citywing Managing Director, David Buck: ‘We have already been encouraged by strong booking levels since the start of the year and we are very grateful to customers for their continued support of our policy of low fares, no debit card fees, administration fees or fuel surcharges. We are fiercely proud of both our Manx roots and our Manx routes, and will continue to grow and develop key Isle of Man gateways including our frequent daily services to Blackpool, Belfast, Gloucester (M5) and Newcastle, supporting and promoting the Isle of Man economy wherever possible.‘

We’re already working with the Department of Economic Development to generate new business and leisure visitors for the Island and we have been approached by a number of airports interested in collaborating to offer new services off-Island too.’

Citywing has fares starting from as low as ?19.95, including all taxes and charges. Visit our website www.citywing.com for full information and to keep up to date with our latest news.
