Promenade refurbishment could start this autumn

Work to improve the ‘gateway’ to the Island could get underway this autumn.

The Department of Infrastructure’s received planning approval for the first phase of the Douglas Promenade refurbishment.

It includes the reconstruction of the prom and Victoria Street junction, as well as the Broadway bound carriageway.

Minister David Cretney says an upgrade is long overdue.
