Island roads remain closed

by isleofman.com 21st January 2013

Police say a number of Island roads around Snaefell remain closed this morning (Monday) because of snow and ice.

Over the weekend, a number of routes shut as snow fell and temperatures dipped down to freezing.

This morning, the Mountain Road, Brandywell Road, Sulby Glen Road, Beinn-y-Phott, and Injebreck remain closed to traffic, as do the Ronague road from Foxdale to the Round Table through to the Dalby Road; the whole of the Shoulder Road from the main Foxdale Road through to Round Table cross roads, down the Sloc to Ballakillowey.

Officers say the Department of Infrastructure will inspect the roads and make a further announcement at midday.
