Mark Cavendish has won the opening stage of the Tour de San Luis in Argentina.
It was his debut appearance for new team Omega Pharma-Quickstep.
The opening stage came down to a bunch sprint and the Manx Missile launched his bid with 200 metres to go to hold off Sacha Modolo and Alessandro Petacchi.
Cav was full of praise for his new team-mates saying "it is so nice to have a team with me that is 100% committed".
