Job losses at Flybe

by isleofman.com 23rd January 2013

Airline Flybe, which operates Island routes to Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Gatwick, Liverpool and Manchester, says it’s to cut 300 jobs.

The redundancies are aimed at returning the firm to profitability by 2014 by reducing its costs by ?35 million.

But the firm, based in Exeter, says although its reviewing its network of flights, it doesn’t expect significant changes to routes.

It’s not yet known whether any job losses will affect the Isle of Man.
