Charity challenge to take over shops

by isleofman.com 25th January 2013

Crossroads Care has thrown down the gauntlet to local businesses to take part in the charity’s Charity Shop Challenge Day.

From 14th February to 27th May local businesses will have the opportunity to take over one of the charity’s shops on Prospect Terrace or Victoria Street, Douglas. The aim is to maximise the day’s profits for the shop, competing against other local companies for the title of ‘Crossroads Care Charity Shop Champion’.

Each team needs to be approximately 5 – 20 people.  Different departments within one company can also enter.

Last year’s winners Isle of Man Bank - 'The Invincibles' raised ?4,321.88 with a celebrity breakfast, sponsored silence, cake sale in the office and bucket collection dressed as superheroes.

Fundraising events and activities can be arranged ahead of the day and Crossroads shop manager will support teams on the day.
