A total of 80 years long service achieved between three Douglas Borough Council employees has been recognised at a reception hosted by Douglas Mayor Councillor David Ashford.
Executive officer and assistant to the chief executive Jan Keig and senior care officer Patricia Hindley have each completed 20 years’ service and chargehand David McMeiken 40 years.
In a short address the Mayor spoke of his pleasure at the number of employees who chose to remain with the Council for so long and concluded by thanking the three award recipients for their hard work.
