Road condition update – Monday 28 January 2013

The following roads will “open” at 12 noon today:-
 
•        A18 Mountain Road – Bungalow to Creg-ny-Baa.
•        A14 Sulby Glen Road - Tholt-y-Will to the Mountain Road
•        B22 Injebreck Road – Brandywell Cottage to Mount Rule 
•        B10 Barragarrow crossroads to Brandywell Cottage
•        Druidale Road, Brandywell Cottage to Ballaugh Bridge 
  
The following roads will remain closed:-
 
•        A18 Mountain Road – Bungalow to Ramsey Hairpin, a review will be undertaken at 16.00 hours today (Monday).
•        B10 Beinn-y-Phott – Brandywell Cottage to Mountain Road. The road remains impassable due to large snow drifts, work in progress to reopen this section as quickly as possible.
•        Sleau Whallian Road from its junction with the Gleneedle Road to Arrasey Road junction. The carriageway has suffered substantial damage due to excessive surface water.
•        B30 Bayrauye Road, St Marks to Ballamodha, closed until 08.00 hours Tuesday 29 January. The carriageway has suffered some damage caused by excessive surface water, with large volumes of standing water still presenting problems.  
 
A further assessment of road conditions will be undertaken later today.
