Part of Mountain Road re-opens

Part of the Mountain Road has reopened today after a week of snow and ice.


Traffic is being allowed between the Bungalow and Creg ny Baa, and the Sulby Glen Road, Injebreck, Brandywell and the Druidale road are also open.


Still closed, however, are the Benn-y-Phott, Slieu Whallian Road and Bayr Road between St Marks and Ballamodha.


Meanwhile, two roads in Ramsey are closed this afternoon because gale force winds are blowing tiles off roofs.


Parliament Street is shut near Harmony Homes and Mooragh Promenade is shut between North Shore Road and Hope Street.


The TT course at Laurel Bank has now reopened after two cars crashed earlier this afternoon. One person was taken to hospital following the incident.
