Twitter to be used for question and answer sessions on local policing issues

by isleofman.com 30th January 2013
PC Tony Lawler has responsibility for the day to day policing of Douglas Town Centre and immediate surrounding area.

As part of his role in regard to getting to know the people of the area and the people getting to know him he has set up a Twitter feed. In the feed he publishes information regarding what he is doing and any issues in the area that people might need to know about.

In an effort to expand this service PC Lawler would like to invite the public to use Twitter to ask questions in regard to local policing issues for Douglas town centre. The questions can be anything policing related, pertaining to Douglas.

It must be stressed that this is an open forum and that it will not be used to report crime or to be used in place of both the 999 system and the local police telephone numbers.

PC Lawler can be found on Twitter @PCTonyLawler.
