Citywing is delighted to announce that they have chosen Crossroads Care as their nominated charity for 2013. The local charity is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year and Citywing has provided them with 25 return Business Select tickets to use for fundraising during the year on their routes from the Island to Blackpool, Belfast, Gloucester (M5) and Newcastle.
Managing Director, David Buck said: ‘We are very pleased to name Crossroads Care as our chosen charity for 2013 and to be able to support them in a number of ways throughout the year. This is a very dedicated and worthwhile local charity, and one that we are honoured to work alongside to raise money for, and awareness of, the life-changing services they provide. In addition to the free tickets we’ll also be calling on our partners for help with some fund raising favourites including the famous sponsored plane pull event.’

As well as helping us to mark the occasion of our 25th anniversary by giving us 25 return Business Select tickets, Citywing are also showing Crossroads’ short in-flight film about carers on their Belfast, Blackpool, Newcastle and Gloucester(M5) routes, to help identify carers.
‘Funds raised help to provide those caring for a loved one with an illness or disability with a meaningful break, whilst those they care for enjoy activities, learn life skills and receive support to enter voluntary or paid employment.
‘Crossroads’ services, including Care at Home, Young Carers, Derby House Nursery and Crossroads Community Venture Scheme, are increasingly relied upon and this year we aim to provide more care hours to more people in our community. Citywing’s support will go some way in enabling us to do this.’
