Alcohol Advisory Service becomes Motiv8

by isleofman.com 4th February 2013

There has been a shift of focus, and a rebrand, for the Isle of Man Alcohol Advisory Service.

From now on, it will be known as 'Motiv8 Addiction Services' and will run a new initiative, 'DrugAware', in addition to what it already offers.

It will see an 'addiction professional' attached to the existing team, who will offer counselling and support in the community, and will work within the prison on behalf of the Island's mental Health Services.

Manx Radio has contacted director of the service Thea Ozenturk and Head of Mental Health Services Steve Gell for comment, but is yet to hear back from them.
