Police are appealing for witnesses of an incident involving a moped in the Ballasalla area

At about 2pm on Monday 4th February 2013, it is alleged that a black Yamaha moped committed Road Traffic offences whilst travelling in the Douglas bound carriageway between the petrol station in Douglas Road. Ballasalla and area of the Blackboards where a marked Police van stopped the moped.  PC Andy LLOYD thinks that the circumstances of the incident will mean that the public in the area are likely to remember it.  PC LLOYD said, “The area through Ballasalla was quite busy with pedestrians and motorists and I would be particularly keen to speak to anybody that the moped overtook at this time as their information will be valuable to the enquiry.”
