Laxey rates frozen

by isleofman.com 5th February 2013

Laxey commissioners say they’re freezing the rates this year – but households will still end up paying more.

The Village rate is being held at 165p in the pound for next financial year, but the fixed refuse charge will be going up.

The board says because of the government’s cut in waste subsidies, the charge to Laxey residents will go up from ?123 to ?139.
