by isleofman.com 9th February 2013

An MHK opposed to the planned introduction of tuition fees says he now accepts a contribution will have to be made.

Middle member Howard Quayle remains against moves to charge all students ?2,500 a year towards their fees from September 2014, but understands the financial reality facing government.

However, Mr Quayle has questioned the legality of the Department of Education’s proposal that parents who earn more than ?100,000 per year before tax will be asked to pay more.
