Local corporate IT services provider Skanco Business Systems Ltd will be holding its 2013 IT Showcase at the British Embassy on the 21st February. The invitation-only event is intended to give Manx IT departments the opportunity to talk directly to UK specialists in a number of leading hardware and software offerings.
The Showcase will run from 3.30pm to 5.30pm as a drop-in style event, although guests also have the opportunity to book slots with particular specialists. The brands covered on the day include Microsoft, Citrix, Veeam, VMWare, HP, Symantec and Huawei, which between them account for a large proportion of the Island’s corporate IT infrastructure. They will be answering questions one-to-one, in order to help guests with planning, procurement and/or optimisation of their systems.
As one of the Island’s largest IT services provider, Skanco has the raw purchasing power necessary to bring international specialists to the Island for events such as this one. Managing Director David Butterworth commented: “We are big believers in buying local and maintaining key skills on the Island, which is why our large technical team has significant expertise in all of the brands being showcased. However, in today’s globalised economy it is important to back up this local expertise with access to international networks of specialists, and that is something we are proud to provide for our clients.”
The Embassy Room is the new, first floor function room of the British Pub on the North Quay. When the event ends at 5.30pm drinks and canapes will be served to guests who wish to stay behind to ask more questions of the specialists or Skanco staff, who will be on-hand throughout the day.
If you would like to attend the event, please email graeme@ashgrovemarketing.com to request a place before the 15th February, or get in touch with the Skanco sales team on 680825.
