St John's to represent Island at Bermuda

St John’s football club says it’ll be at the Island Games later this year in Bermuda – but not as an Isle of Man team.

The Manx FA says it will back the side entering the competition, on the condition it doesn’t wear the national kit or refer to itself as the Isle of Man side.

The move comes after the Island’s Football Association decided not to send an official team to compete at the games.

St John’s FC committee member Malcolm Blackburn explains how his players can afford to go when the FA says it hasn’t the money to send a side:
