Railway buffs weigh up major changes

The organisation which helps preserve and restore the Island’s steam railways is considering some major changes.

The Isle of Man Steam Railway Supporters Association is asking its members whether they’d like to change the group’s name, and abandon its quarterly paper magazine in favour of a downloadable version.

Chairman Bill Cubbon says as suggestions are made, the group will gauge opinion before making any decisions.

But he says there’s sure to be a lively debate on the proposals:
