Chief Minister unconvinced over privatisation

A ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunity’.

That’s how the Chief Minister has described a review of government services.

As part of the scope report, departments have until the end of the year to assess how they can improve the way they perform and increase efficiencies.

All options are on the table, including the potential for public-private partnerships, corporatisation and privatisation.

However Allan Bell says he’s unconvinced privatisation will ensure the long-term sustainability of government.
