Bendy bus assessment underway

by isleofman.com 18th February 2013

An assessment of bendy buses on Island roads has started.

Two bendy buses have taken to the streets in a month-long trial and are now being used on a number of routes, including some school services.

It’s estimated introducing the buses would achieve ?3 million worth of capital savings and in the region of ?300,000 in annual revenue savings.

One of the independent assessors, Brendan O’Friel, who is chairman of the passenger watchdog TravelWatch, says his remit is clear.
