An inquest has heard a man who died from a heroin overdose did so as a result of misadventure.
Although 33 year old Nicholas Noon of Douglas had used the drug in the past, the hearing was told this was thought to be a one-off incident.
This morning the court heard Mr Noon died after taking a lethal cocktail of heroin, anti-depressants and sleeping tablets.
His body was discovered in his room at the Glenfaba Hotel on May 30 last year by his mother and landlord.
Pathologist Dr Christopher Clague told the hearing Mr Noon had died from an overdose of heroin, made worse by prescription drugs and drinking.
This afternoon, Detective Constable Karl Breadner told the court he’d found ?1,300 worth of heroin in the room, along with syringes and drugs paraphernalia.
DC Breadner ruled out foul play.
