Police investigation after sheep injured

by isleofman.com 19th February 2013
The Southern Neighbourhood Policing Team are investigating an incident where a sheep was injured in a dog attack at Langness on Monday 11th February 2013.  Thankfully the sheep were not in lamb at this time and the injuries were not life threatening.

PC Louise Kennaugh said, “We would appreciate any information in relation to this incident which has caused great concern to the owners.    I would like to remind dog owners that it is an offence not to have a dog under control at all times.  If a dog is seen by a farmer to be actively causing distress and attacking their livestock they are able to take any action necessary to prevent this including destroying the dog’.

If you have any information in relation to this matter please contact PC 206 Kennaugh at Castletown Police Station on 822222.
