Teacher recruitment has been huge problem says head

The Head of QE 2 school in Peel says recruiting teachers has been a huge problem which was getting worse.

Sue Moore was speaking after Tynwald voted yesterday to make secondary school teachers exempt from the need for a work permit.

The move was made by the Department of Economic Develoment, after the Department of Education and Children highlighted growing recruitment difficulties.

Miss Moore says she hopes the move will make a real difference and whilst stressing that a good Manx candidate is always the preferred choice, there's an important underlying point to be aware of
