Bendy bus breakdown won't affect trial, says Black

The chief executive of the Department of Community, Culture and Leisure says today’s bendy bus breakdown won’t affect the ongoing trial.

Nick Black says this morning a loaned bus broke down at the Fairy Bridge on the New Castletown Road and was towed back to Douglas for repairs.

But he says the problem was a minor one and it was returned to the depot so it could be worked on safely rather than having staff at the side of the road.

Mr Black says the trial is still continuing as planned:
